From Our Parents.
Our children consistently reflect positive signs of the love and care they are receiving at Open Arms each and every day. It is very apparent that everyone at Open Arms puts love as the most important priority in the Early Child Development process. Our family is welcomed everyday by the smiling staff, and other families with a level of love and empathy that is truly genuine. It is a very welcoming community. Every parent understands the turmoil, challenges and (often) the necessity of putting your child in the care of others. I can unequivocally say that I have the utmost confidence and "peace of mind" that my children are being properly "cared for" at Open Arms, and that they are, most importantly, being shown genuine "Love." I wanted to take a minute of your time this morning and simply provide you with a note of accommodation for your staff in the infant room. Last weekend I had noticed that my child, for no apparent reason, kept repeatedly touching the back of her head behind her left ear. I asked (teachers) on Monday morning to casually make mental notes if they saw her demonstrating this behavior. When I picked up my daughter Monday evening they had not only observed her behavior they were able to tell me the exact number of times that she had done this over the course of the day. (A total of eight times). Subsequently, with their help, I was able to make the decision to take her to the doctor to have an examination and make sure there was nothing wrong. Turned out she had some fluid in her inner ear on the left side where she kept touching. There was no infection and thankfully she needed no medical treatment. More than likely I would have ended up taking her to the doctor without the help of your staff, however, they made it much easier for me (as her father) to make my decision to run it by her doctor.
On Tuesday, my daughter had her doctor's appointment. When I arrived earlier than usual (2pm) to pick her up, (teacher) had saved a banana for her since it was about snack time and she didn't want her to go hungry. I had brought food with me, but had I forgotten to do so, this banana may have helped save the day. It is this kind of attention to detail and thoughtfulness that separates your staff from other day care providers. I was so touched by (teacher) gesture and thoughtfulness and (teachers) excellent observations and care for her that I was moved and motivated to share this with you. My wife and I are so delighted with the care that our daughter has received from day one since enrolling in Open Arms. You should be proud of these ladies and their magnificent skill sets. They are a triad of nurturing, caring individuals for every child they care for; they have all three been a tremendous resource for us when it comes to her development. I commend these people for their day-in-day-out compassion and willingness to go the extra mile to help new parents. I hope you have a great weekend. This week was exceptionally special week for us largely because of (teachers) work ethic. |
